Dekpol will build a plant for Iglotex within eight months
Dekpol has signed a letter of intent for the construction of a production and warehouse facility for Iglotex. The technologically complicated investment, intended for the leader of the frozen food market in Poland, will be implemented in the “design-build” system in just eight months. The commissioning of the facility with a total area of approximately 24400 m2 is planned for July 2020.
As part of general contracting services, Dekpol will be responsible for the implementation of a large project for Iglotex. The entire investment will be built in Skórcz in the ‘design-build’ system. Iglotex entrusted the project, functional and architectural concept, comprehensive investment management and investor’s supervision to the company Project Management Sp. z o.o. from Warsaw.
A total of approximately 24 400 m2 will be built. Due to the specificity of the client’s business, as much as 6 500 m2 will be occupied by freezers. The remaining 17 900 m2 will be designated for cold stores, production activities and the social and office part necessary to ensure comfortable working conditions. The object under construction will have varying heights. The upper part will have approx. 13.5 meters, and the lower part – approx. 10.5 meters.
Preparations for the implementation of the investment start this month, and its completion is planned for July 2020. At the same time, procedures related to the technological start-up will start as early as May next year.
The challenge will be the high pace of planned works, which will take only eight months. This time will be used to develop the investment project, obtain all approvals and permits, perform construction works and prepare as-built documentation. For this, the object itself will be very technologically advanced. It will be necessary to use a very precise ventilation system with the ability to accurately control humidity and temperature in various rooms. The installation of an effective electrical installation will also be required. In addition, the entire facility will have to meet high quality standards developed for food products.
“We are happy to undertake the implementation of complex projects. The fast construction pace will be possible thanks to the very precise organization of works, with flexible cooperation with the Investor. The many years of experience we have gained in carrying out large investments will certainly help us. Of course, we plan to use many engineering solutions that will accelerate the process of construction” – said Michał Skowron, Vice President of the Management Board of Dekpol S.A.
Dekpol is an expert in the construction of logistics, production and industrial facilities, shopping centers and other cubature facilities. At the end of the first half of 2019, the Group performed contracts for external entities with a total contractual value of over PLN 500 million net.
