“We are very pleased with the award. The Grano complex is another investment implemented by Dekpol on the Granary Island in Gdańsk. When I look at this entirely changed area, I feel personal satisfaction, that our company was involved in this procedure. And the fact, that we are focused on good architecture and we care so much that our investments are made with respect for the history of this unique place makes me proud. It is very important to us, that our hard work has been appreciated by experts on the Polish real estate market.” – said Dariusz Radtke, Marketing Director of Dekpol S.A.

The Grano complex is located on the Granary Island in Gdańsk. It is currently one of the most interesting places on the map of Gdańsk. On the area of the investment, there were initially walls of an old granary, which was built at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. Rather than treating them as an “obstacle”, it was decided that these valuable, historic elements would be the heart of the building – both inside and outside of them. The first of them – the monumental brick western wall – was used in the interior of the lobby and is the main accent welcoming residents and guests of the Grano complex. Another part – a relic of the northern wall – is presented in the inner green courtyard of the building. In addition, the architecture of the complex refers to the former buildings of the Granary Island, which is why the entire investment reflects Gdańsk granaries with its shape and roof structure.

Architectural design project of the Grano complex has been prepared by studio of Mr. Marcin Kozikowski – KD Kozikowski Design. The Ideograf studio was responsible for the unique design of the building. The general contractor of the investment was Dekpol S.A.
