Dekpol celebrated topping-out on construction site of a modern galvanizing plant
Dekpol completed the first stage of construction works at the modern galvanizing plant for Inter Metal. The investment has reached the shell status and a traditional topping-out of the building was celebrated. The hand-over of a technologically advanced production hall with a total area of over 6000 m2 is scheduled for third quarter this year.
The topping-out ceremony took place at the construction site of a modern hall for the company Inter Metal, a part of the Saferoad Group. The investor was represented by Grzegorz Bagiński, President of Management Board of Saferoad Sp. z o.o., President of Management Board of Iner Metal – Maciej Kaczalski as well as other guests. The ceremony was also attended by representatives of the General Contracting Company, thus the Company Dekpol: Adam Olżyński – Development Investment Director as well as Rafał Glaza – Technical Director.
– Thanks to advanced technology, the prepared object will be the most modern galvanizing plant in our country and even in Europe– emphasized Marek Mazurowski, Site Manager.
Mr. Kaczalski – CEO solemnly welcomed guests and thanked everyone involved in the project. Among the guests were representatives of the DCS design office and the Engineer of Transprojekt company, supervising the project. In his speech, he informed and assured, that the investment is completely safe for the environment and its neighbors. In all of its projects, the Company – Inter Metal focuses primarily on safety.

This is a very important undertaking that will also allow Inter Metal to maintain high growth development dynamics – said Mr. Kaczalski – CEO.
– Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the project is being implemented as scheduled. We have implemented safety procedures at the construction site, thanks to which, we plan to accomplish the whole investment in accordance with the assumed schedule. Topping-out is a traditional milestone in every investment. The second part of the project is ahead of us, to which we proceed with full determination – said Adam Olżyński – Development Investment Director in Dekpol S.A..
As part of the performed project, a hot-dip galvanizing plant with internal installations and a social and office part consisting of three independent buildings remain under construction. The Contract also includes execution of external technical infrastructure and arrangement of green areas with an area of over 12 000 m2.
The Object will be designed for application of a zinc coating on steel to protect steel products against corrosion. Production hall will be equipped with the deepest galvanizing tanks in the country, which will allow galvanizing of approximately 100 000 tonnes of steel per year. In the hall has also been installed a modern, innovative crane operation system. Both, completion of construction works, as well the hand-over of the building to the investor shall follow in Q3 2020.
