Dekpol will compete for further contracts in Lithuania

Dekpol has completed the execution of the first major investment project in Lithuania. Now it intends to actively acquire new contracts, dynamically developing General Contracting services on this market. Representatives of the company presented the experience and plans of Dekpol during a conference organized by the Polish embassy in Vilnius.

The Lithuanian market is increasingly attracting Polish enterprises from the construction and real estate sectors. This is the effect of close proximity and high economic potential of Lithuania. Polish Embassy in Vilnius on 30th of May this year organized a debate for companies interested in business development in this country. Representatives of Dekpol actively participated in the meetings.

Michał Skowron, Vice President of the Management Board of Dekpol SA, during the debate presented the potential of the Dekpol Group in the General Contracting segment. He also discussed the investment implemented last year, including the construction of a production plant in Lithuania with an area of over 20,000 m2 with an office building and galleries connecting halls. Within the project the central boiler room, guardhouse, internal roads and squares with an area of 20,000 m2, storm water drainage along with a retention reservoir and pumping station and other networks (including sanitation, IT, water supply and energy) have been built. The project was completed “turnkey”. It was the first foreign contract of the Dekpol Group as part of the General Contracting services.

The needs of the construction market in Lithuania are large. Major commercial, office and residential investments are planned. The construction of roads and railway infrastructure is continuing as part of the EU funds perspective. We would like to develop our segment of General Contracting in Lithuania ” – said Michał Skowron, Vice-President of Dekpol SA.

The representatives of local institutions encouraged to implement the investment. The papers presented, among others Marius Stasiukaitis, Investment Specialist at the Lithuanian Investment Promotion Agency Invest Lithuania and Aidas Rimkevičius, representative of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania.

Two discussions were held as part of the seminar. The first was referring to the prospects of development of the Lithuanian market. Attended by: Audrius Petkevičius and Nijolė Vaičiūnaitė, experts from the law firm Ellex Valiunas, Marius Narmontas, Director of the Department of Building and Territorial Planning in the Ministry of the Environment of the Republic of Lithuania and Arvydas Avulis President of the Hanner Board.

The second discussion was focused on discussing opportunities and threats based on the experience of investors and contractors. Rafał Glaza, Technical Director of Dekpol SA, took part in it. Mirosław Żurawski, Expansion Manager from Decathlon Group and Andrzej Przesmycki CEO of Project Management Group also shared their experiences.

Dekpol specializes in the construction of logistic and industrial facilities, shopping centers and other cubature objects. As part of the expansion to new markets, it assumes the implementation of further contracts in Lithuania. Participation in a meeting at the Polish embassy was a great way to promote their services and to gain new business contacts.
